World’s Best Drinking Chocolate

For any of my chocolate lovers this will be a recipe that you may want to be wary of, the reason being is because it is dangerously good and addicting. This recipe is so easy but the result is the most decadent rich and creamy thick drinking chocolate. I would actually compare it to the Fran’s Drinking chocolate which might I add is dangerously delicious as well. If you want to mix it up a bit feel free to add some Cayenne pepper or cinnamon to give it a bit of flair. This recipe uses my previous Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe and kicks it up a notch to be a gourmet delicacy that is perfect to serve at any holiday party, or cold winter night!


World’s Best Drinking Chocolate
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Yields: 2 servings

2 cups whipping cream (for lighter versions you can try Half-n-Half or regular milk, it just wont be as creamy)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 TB Quick Easy Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

Whipped cream
White chocolate chips

Tools Needed: 
Small Sauce pan,
Stove top


1. Pour your cream into a sauce pan and bring to medium heat. Add your chocolate chips and mix until melted and combined
2. Once chocolate chips are fully incorporated into your cream add your cocoa mix. Stir until combined. (Do not mix too rigorously as this can create whipped cream!)
3. Don’t let your cream get too hot or burn, keep the heat medium/low.
4. When fully mixed pour the drinking chocolate into your favorite mugs to enjoy by a crackling fire, or as a post-holiday dinner treat!
